2012 RAC Community Education seniors program

The program is a free service operating in community centres, clubs and halls across the Perth metropolitan area.

The RAC Community Education team conduct presentations, information sessions and interactive workshops for senior's groups of 15 or more.

Your driving future


Presentation time: 60-90 minutes.

Many things have changed since you first got your licence; there are new rules, faster cars and more drivers on the roads. This presentation is a great opportunity to evaluate these changes and the impact it has on your driving. We provide brochures  to assist with your driving assessment. 

We discuss: 
  • How to assess your own driving ability 
  • Changes in road rules and regulations
  • Using a mobility scooter 
  • Tips and advice for your seniors’ driving assessment
 

Road safety


Presentation time: 45-60 minutes.

Even though you may have been driving for many years, this presentation discusses the trends and risks associated with being a senior road user and how you can contribute to safety on Western Australian roads.

We discuss: 
  • Safety tips for senior road users 
  • Elements that contribute to the safety of a road environment 
  • Current road safety initiatives and programs 
  • Car safety features
 

RAC - then and now


Presentation time: 45-60 minutes.

The RAC has a proud and long history in Western Australia. Relive your motoring memories as we chart the journey of the RAC to date. View motoring footage and photographs collated over the years as we recall how it all began, the progress of the RAC since and find out what the future holds for Western Australia’s premier motoring organisation.
