bstreetsmart

On 10 April 2013, RAC teamed up with the WA Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Royal Perth Hospital and St John Ambulance to bring bstreetsmart to Perth. Over 5500 students from 66 schools across metropolitan and surrounding areas bore witness to the thought provoking events of the day.
The event included:
- the re-enactment of a crash scene;
- hearing from people who have been personally affected by road trauma; and
- the opportunity to browse interactive and informative stalls.

"It was a fantastic experience. The reenactment using young people and real cars and emergency vehicles was very good. It was very relevant having the coroner turn up as well. It should be compulsory for all young people – perhaps even a part of getting L's."
Teacher - Canningvale College
"I think that the program is very effective. Education is the best way to get the message across. Good work."
Student - Year 10
