2010 RAC ADC WA Road Safety Competition

2010 RAC ADC WA Road Safety Competition

Melville Primary School students were treated to a visit from the RAC Rescue helicopter in December when Year 4 student Danna Torres won a road safety poster competition organised by the RAC and the Australia Day Council (WA).

Year 4 students involved in the Aussie of the Month program were asked to design posters that captured what was being done around their schools to increase road safety. The prize for the winning entry was a visit from the RAC Rescue helicopter.

An assembly was held at Melville Primary School where Danna was presented with an award and students had the opportunity to ask the RAC Rescue helicopter crew questions.

“The competition was of a very high standard which made it difficult to choose the winner however Danna’s poster stood out with it’s clear message on road safety” Sponsorship Manger Devika Tampi said.

The Emergency Service Helicopter Service is managed by FESA and funded by the State Government and principal sponsor the RAC.
