You may have seen the new RAC Insurance ads on TV. What you may not know is that ours ads feature real people who actually work for RAC Insurance. Meet our stars.
I work in the training and development team. What sets RAC apart from other companies, are the people. RAC Staff are a first rate bunch! Just ordinary people doing that little bit extra every day that really makes a difference to our members.
The opportunity to be a part of the ads was amazing, but what really stood out was the unforgettable workout I got from lifting the couch all day, believe me, I have the guns to prove it. Plus, I now consider myself a professional removalist.
No one wants to think about insurance. But when something unexpected happens to your home or its contents and you need to make a claim, that’s when my team steps in. Our job is to make sure the process is as straightforward as possible, so you can get your life back to normal.
This time my scene involved water dripping from the ceiling, but thankfully I didn’t get any directly on my head! It was quite technical as they had built a set to control and manage the water flow through the ceiling.
I'm part of the Motor Claims team. An important part of my job is making sure that when you make a claim, it's easy and hassle-free. You're stressed enough when you make a claim. It's important to us that your mind is at ease during the process.
I was quite surprised to see the car we were filming in loaded on a huge trailer, surrounded by lights and the camera. So much for getting to drive a brand new car, it was towed and escorted everywhere for the shoot!
I work in the Insurance product team. It's our job to deliver you competitively priced insurance with great features and lots of extra benefits. We work hard to make sure you are getting the very best from your insurance.
I really enjoyed just being involved for this shoot, there was a real buzz around the set, and it was a fun time just talking to the crew and hanging out with my co-stars.
I work in the Motor Claims team. Our job is to stay in contact with members as their claim is going through and keep them up-to-date on its progress. It's hard not knowing what's going on that's why we're committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.
The thing I most enjoyed about filming this time was getting to the location just as the sun was coming up so we had an awesome view of the city & Swan River. As usual having my make-up & hair done is always a highlight! Meeting my ‘fill in’ was fun too as we were wearing the same clothes so that was rather odd!
I work on our member's Home insurance claims. It's my job to help people through the process of making a claim, right from the time they first call us through to the end of the claim, making sure that all their questions are answered and all their needs are met.
My diving board scene was pretty scary. I have a slight fear of heights but the good thing was that once I was up there for about 10 minutes I got used to it! I think my ‘fill in’ was pretty terrified though!
I am part of the underwriting team who deal with processing of renewals, financial transactions and looking at risks that fall outside the normal. We take care of your insurance renewal, making sure that your insurance policy is set up correctly so you can rest easy.
I had difficulties handling the pop corn on set. It kept falling out of the box, so the crew were going to take some out, but without thinking I tipped it onto my lap and on the floor! I then proceeded to try and clean it up which caused even more mayhem as I wasn’t supposed to move!
I help set up people's car and home insurance policies over the phone. Everyone's situation is different but everyone has the same worries so it's great being able to reassure people about their home or car.
I loved doing the ads! It's fun walking into work and people saying "Hey I saw you on TV last night." Even my kid's friends saying "Wow that's cool your mum's on TV!"
