Roadside Assistance
When you purchase Standard, Classic, Ultimate or Ultimate Plus RAC Roadside Assistance, you automatically become an RAC member. As an RAC member, you receive full access to the entire range of RAC products, services and benefits as well as peace of mind that you are covered with RAC Roadside Assistance.
Affiliate
Affiliate membership is available to people who want the exclusive member benefits, discounts, special offers and free advice, but don‘t need RAC Roadside Assistance.
free2go
free2go is our RAC youth membership program for 17, 18 and 19 year olds. We aim to provide our younger members with all the help they need to get started behind the wheel. This three-year membership provides access to exclusive free2go benefits, including discounts and free motoring advice. Best of all, Standard RAC Roadside Assistance is free for all 17 year olds and half price for 18 and 19 year olds.
Red card
If you do not hold an RAC Roadside Assistance, Affiliate or free2go membership, but you hold an eligible RAC Insurance product, you are entitled to this membership and have access to a great range of benefits.
Card types
The colour of your membership card indicates how many continuous years you’ve been an RAC Roadside Assistance member. There are 5 different types - from Blue to Life.
We also have a red card for members who only have an RAC Motor or Home Insurance product and a free2go card for 17-19-years-olds.
All cards are elligible for member discounts.

How do I receive discounts?
We’ve made it as simple as possible for you to take advantage of all the extra benefits of being an RAC member.
Most of our member offers can be claimed simply by presenting your RAC membership card at the point of purchase, so remember to keep it handy.
Other offers may require you to quote your membership number over the phone, to visit a dedicated webpage or to visit an RAC Member Service Centre.
