Recreational 4WD course
This course is designed for all types of 4WD vehicles and provides practical experience and training for individuals interested in enjoying recreational off-road driving.
Conducted on our purpose-built 4WD circuit, you’ll learn all the skills needed to get off the beaten track.
Recreational 4WD course training includes:
- Understanding the characteristics of 4WD vehicles.
- Correctly negotiating sand obstacles.
- Knowing ideal wheel placement.
- Handling rough terrain.
- Selecting the right gear, plus when and how to engage 4WD.
- Experiencing stall-out and stall recovery.
- Completing ascents and descents.
- Negotiating humps and ditches.
- Responding to transmission wind-up.
- Practicing environmental considerations to minimise environmental impact.
Duration: 1 day.
Certificate: A certificate will be issued on successful completion of this course.
Requirements: Full licence or P-plates.
Vehicle: Participants to supply own suitable vehicles.
