Car servicing, maintenance and repairs

Even if you’re not good with mechanical stuff, there are some easy things you can do to keep your car running smoothly and looking good. If you take care of little things as they pop up, you could save yourself from some major mechanical repairs down the track.

To get you started, we’ve pulled together some easy car maintenance tips:

  • Oil: Check your oil levels regularly! The oil acts as a lubricant to make all the parts of the engine work together smoothly and it reduces wear-out.
  • Tyres: Check your tyre pressure every two weeks and ALWAYS check it before a long drive.
  • Batteries: If your battery has not been replaced in 3 – 4 years consider a replacement as battery failures often occur with no warning.
  • Brakes: Squealing brakes, grinding on your rotors or unusual vibrations may indicate your brakes need replacing.
