World-Wide Reciprocal Motoring Services
The International Touring Alliance (AIT) is the world-wide organisation of Touring Clubs and Automobile Associations. AIT clubs agree to provide a broad range of services to each other's members travelling abroad for a time frame of three months.
These services may vary from club to club but will generally be the same as those provided by clubs to their own members.
To obtain the services members must present their current club membership card which should bear the AIT logo or card which identifies them clearly as being members of an AIT club.
As the type, structure and organisation of AIT clubs, as well as the levels of services they provide, may vary from country to country, the AIT has endeavoured to divide its member clubs into the following categories:
Category A
Clubs are those which agree to provide all services, including breakdown services. The availability and general conditions of use are described. (Some clubs might be able to offer more favourable conditions on the basis of bilateral agreements).
Category B
Clubs are those which agree to provide in addition to the free basic service more detailed touring and travel services including maps. These clubs are also expected to provide services to visiting members at the same cost and on the same terms that they supply these products to their members.
Category C
Clubs are those which agree to provide members of a foreign AIT club, as a minimum, with free basic touring and general information, advice and, as far as possible, some practical help.

The AA agrees to provide breakdown services to AIT-affiliated club members travelling to the UK for a maximum stay of three months. Anyone encountering any problems with a rental vehicle in the UK must contact the rental company immediately to authorise and arrange any
assistance necessary.
