Passive Safety Features

Passive Safety describes features that can help to protect you in a crash. It includes the structural and interior design of a car, provision of airbags, seatbelts and good seating and controls. ANCAP crash tests are designed to evaluate the passive safety of a car.

Passive Safety features include:

  • Front, side and head protecting airbags

  • Seatbelt reminder systems

  • An interior design free of sharp projections

  • Head restraints that can support your head in a rear end crash
