RAC Travel Services Pty Ltd and West Travel will be referred to as ‘RAC Travel’ for the purposes of this document.
RAC Travel and West Travel do not provide travel services but acts as an agent only to arrange travel bookings and contracts between you and Travel Service Providers (TSP) (including airlines and travel wholesalers).
RAC Travel and West Travel are not liable for any failure of a TSP to provide travel arrangements and we are not responsible for losses arising due to the insolvency of a TSP.
- If you are less than eighteen years of age then your legal guardian must be acknowledge this contract on your behalf
- This document contains the terms & conditions of the contract between you and RAC Travel, and by acknowledging it, you agree that you have read, understood and are legally bound by this contract. You may request a copy of this document
- RAC Travel respects your privacy and abides by the terms of the Privacy Amendment Act 2000.
- Local travel and airport taxes may apply overseas. These charges are not included in the taxes collected by RAC Travel.
- Payment by cheque will not be accepted for instant purchase airfares.
- Where a cheque is acceptable as a method of payment, it will require 10 working days to clear.
- RAC Travel reserves the right to apply Booking fees and Service Charges to conduct your travel arrangements. A copy is available from your consultant if required.
- Australian passport holders are advised to contact the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) at
www.smartraveller.gov.au to gain ongoing advice on safety issues overseas. If you are unable to use or access
the internet, you can call DFAT on 1300 555 135. RAC Travel does not provide advice as to the safety of a destination, the decision to travel is yours alone. - Non Australian passport holders should check with their own consulates or embassies for travel advice
Terms and Conditions
Your booking- All Prices quoted are not guaranteed until payment has been made in full
- The last date for full payment on your booking is as per the confirmation advice
- Credit Cards may incur an administration fee of up to 3%
- RAC Travel recommends that you must check your booking with the airline 72 hours prior to each departure as timing changes are common and airlines do
regularly overbook flights.
- $165 deposit required for international bookings per person
- All deposits are non transferable and non refundable
- Additional deposits for travel arrangements may be required by other travel service providers booked on your behalf.
- $165 for international bookings
- A Minimum of $33 up to 100% of the cost for all other travel arrangements, (e.g. tours, hotels, road & rail)
- Additional cancellation fees may be charged by TSP
- You are travelling on either an E Ticket or a Paper Ticket
- Your ticket will state when travel is valid from either date of departure or date of issue
Prior to departure
- Changes to airline tickets may not be permitted
- If allowed, date change fees will apply
- Fees will be charged if changes require ticket reissue
After departure
- Changes to airline tickets may not be permitted
- Changes must be made directly with the airline
- If allowed, date change fees will apply
- A fee will be charged if changes require ticket reissue
- Domestic airline tickets are not refundable
- If you cancel or make changes the fare may be used as a credit towards a higher domestic airfare.
- Changes must be made at least 24 hours prior to travel and are subject to seat availability.
- RAC fee for changes $33. The Airline may also charge a fee
- All Fees are per person
- Other airline conditions may apply
- Before departure your ticket may not be refundable
- After departure your airfare may not be refundable, any refund will be assessed by the airline
- Refunds can only be processed through RAC Travel Services
- Refunds for airline tickets and other travel documents can take up to 4 months to complete
- All international travel requires that you have a valid Passport. However it is your responsibility to ensure that your Nationality and status will allow you to travel to the destination you are booking.
- Depending on your Nationality and status a Re-entry visa may be required
- It is your responsibility to obtain all necessary visas. If you require visa advice, RAC Travel can assist you. Service fees will apply in addition to the consulate and courier fees
- Traveller to the USA must complete a Visa Waiver form
- The name on your booking must be exactly the same as your passport. You are liable for any costs involved for the change or reissue of tickets due to incorrect name.
- Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of return to Australia
- RAC Travel requires a copy of your passport before your documents can be released.
- All deposits are non refundable and non transferable
- In most cases final payment is required at least 10 days prior to travel
- Suppliers have their own terms and conditions as per their brochure. Please familiarise yourself with their conditions
- RAC Travel strongly recommends that you travel with travel insurance. If you do not travel with insurance, you will be required to sign an insurance disclaimer.
- There is no refund on insurance 14 days after purchase
- There is no refund on insurance if you return early
- Some Insurance may be extended prior to expiry of policy
- Check with a RAC Travel consultant for details.
- Please note that it is your responsibility to check with your Airlines Frequent Flyer customer service centre whether your flight will earn you points. Discounted fares may not qualify. Always retain your boarding passes as proof of travel
