Road safety for upper primary

Upper Primary

Schools play an important role in preparing students to become safe and responsible road users. We have created a series of online games, incursions, lesson plans and activities to help teachers to deliver a comprehensive road safety education program.

Our curriculum-aligned lesson plans, in-class activities and student worksheets have been created for teachers to implement road safety lessons in classrooms and for integrating road safety into other curriculum areas.

Pre lesson guides

These suggested resources are aimed to assist teachers to introduce road safety in a classroom environment. They will help prepare the children for the main road safety lesson or an RAC School Incursion.

Main lesson guides

Book a school visit and have one of RAC’s Education Officers run a 1 hour incursion or alternatively you can use the following resources and run your own lessons.

Post lesson guides

These suggested lessons will help reinforce the road safety messages learned from the Pre-Lesson and the Main Lesson plans and activities.
