Day 1 - 27 August 2024
Departing from Perth mid-morning, you’ll be whisked away to your first food experience in no time at all, for a farm-to-table café lunch and time to browse the bush-tucker garden. Heading further south, you’ll pop into a small family operated cheese factory and sheep dairy to experience a range of award-winning ewes milk cheeses. From there, you’ll head to your accommodation then prepare for a dinner in a lakeside restaurant, where the chef creates stunning meals featuring local produce.
Day 2 - 28 August 2024
After breakfast and time to explore the resort, you’ll head to one of the region’s famous trufferies where you’ll be swept up in the wonder of the black perigord truffle on your own private truffle hunt. Watch the dogs sniff for the truffle and see the hunters unearth the black gold. Later, after a catered picnic-lunch, you’ll visit a bustling horticulture and pastured egg farm focusing on regenerative agriculture, to hear directly from the farmers themselves. Experience the south-west’s favourite freshwater crustacean with a tour of a marron distributer, then a stroll around the Southern Forest’s favourite scenic spot, Big Brook Dam. To end the day, you’ll enjoy a tasty dinner at a charming country pub before turning in to bed.
Day 3 – 29 August 2024
Your final day will begin with breakfast enjoyed overlooking the lake, then off to visit a passionate apiarist to sample his monofloral honey offerings. Your senses will be tantalised with stop at a decadent chocolate factory, before a scrumptious lunch at the cidery, before embarking on the trip back to Perth.
