Day 2: Minneapolis (Red Wing), Minnesota
Minneapolis is known for its parks, lakes and many cultural landmarks like the Walker Art Centre, a contemporary art museum, and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. In warmer months, locals, and visitors head to one of the 13 sizable lakes in the city’s borders for kayaking, paddle boating, sailing, and swimming. It has a host of museums and art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs, and entertainment venues.

Day 3: Winona, Minnesota

Day 4 La Crosse, Wischonsin La Crosse resides along the famous Great River Road National Scenic Byway, considered by some as the most scenic drive in America. This river town also has a long-standing connection with the steamboat era where guests are welcomed by its eye-catching vistas and expansive waterfront park.
Day 5: Dubuque, Iowa
Victorian meets bohemian in this evergrowing Mississippi River gem that is sure to leave dazzling memories. In Dubuque you'll discover the perfect nature getaway, and explore districts peppered with preserved history. Cap your day in Dubuque with a tasting at one of the local vineyards or tasting rooms including Stone Cliff and Park Farm wineries.
Day 6: Bettendorf, Iowa
Bettendorf is part of a large metro area called the “Quad Cities,” a collection of river vistas and metropolitan communities that meld Midwestern neighbourliness with rich educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities. Comprised of the Mississippi riverfront towns of Bettendorf and Davenport in Iowa, and Moline and Rock Island in Illinois, these distinctively different urban areas, blend into the melting pot that the region celebrates.
Day 7: Burlington, Iowa
Burlington is the centre of a micropolitan area, which includes West Burlington and Middletown, Iowa, and Gulfport, Illinois. Burlington was a bustling river port in the steamboat era and a central city to the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy railroads. A highlight today includes the Des Moines County Heritage Centre.
Day 8: Hannibal, Missouri
Hannibal with its style and dignity, comes to life in the writings of Mark Twain and its attractions are sure to make your port call unforgettable. People, entities, and livelihoods of Hannibal’s past endure within the pages of “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” and “Life on the Mississippi”.
Day 9: St. Louis (Alton), Missouri
Located on the Mississippi River, Alton is home to many wonders. Legendary jazz musician Miles Davis was born and raised in Alton, and it is also reputed to be one of the most haunted cities in the U.S. Depending on the length of your port call, enjoy a round of golf on two championship courses, play some tennis, take in one of three historic districts on a leisurely stroll, or discover many other local attractions.
Day 10: Scenic River Cruising
Watch small river towns and lush landscapes slowly become lost in the horizon as sunlight plays upon the deck. Take hold of a literary classic, curl up on a plush chair in a cosy corner and relish in the moment of tranquillity.
Day 11: Memphis, Tennessee
Today we explore Memphis, one of the most famous music destinations in the world. The highlights today include Beale Street, Blues Music Hall of Fame, Graceland, Memphis Music Hall of Fame, Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum, Sun Studio and many more.
Day 12: Cleveland (Terrene Landing), Mississippi
In the heart of the Mississippi Delta lies the town of Cleveland. Often called the “Birthplace of the Blues,” Cleveland brims with musical history and avenues to learn and be immersed in its soulful sounds. Cleveland’s unique Southern culture is the amalgamation of the blues, handspun Mississippi mud pottery, and mouth watering delicacies.
Day 13: Vicksburg, Mississippi
Vicksburg is a city in western Mississippi, which is known as the site of a key Civil War battle. The Vicksburg National Military Park, which encompasses the Vicksburg National Cemetery and the restored USS Cairo gunboat, was created to commemorate, and preserve the infamous siege line and the historic heritage.
Day 14: Natchez, Mississippi
Set on the Mississippi River, Natchez is known for its preservation of historic homes and antebellum mansions. During your visit, explore the unique shops, restaurants, museums, and historic homes, all of which inspired Hugh Bayless to include Natchez in his book “The 100 Best Towns in America.”
Day 15: Nottoway, Louisiana
AQV Exclusive American Queen Voyages features an exclusive port at Nottoway, one of the South's largest historic mansions. The mansion's massive white columns and grand balconies stand guard over the Mississippi River, while on the north side, the spectacular three-story Rotunda overlooks sweeping oak-draped lawns.
