At RAC Insurance we aim to make the process of making a claim as simple as possible. Our convenient online claim form allows you to make a claim when it suits you, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
1Before you lodge your claim
Before you start a new claim you will need the following information:
- Your policy schedule
- Details of the accident/event
- Your vehicle registration for motor claims.
You also need to be a policy holder or authorised person on the policy.
Please note currently Renters and Landlords Insurance claims cannot be lodged online. Please call us on 13 17 03 to lodge your claim.
2How to claim online
When you enter your details into the online claim form, make sure you add your policy number and surname exactly how they appear on your policy schedule.
Motor policy numbers which include car, motorbike, caravan and boat start with MGP.
Home policy numbers which include buildings, contents and personal valuables start with HGP.

What happens next?
Once your claim is lodged, our friendly staff will contact you via email or phone to provide a claim number and advise you of the next steps.

Emergency assistance
If you require emergency assistance for your claim call us on
13 17 03. Assistance may be required if a claim-related event has created an emergency situation, for example, a broken window has left your home unsecured.
