If you have an RAC Insurance Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Policy, and you travel more than 100kms from home, you and any member of your immediate family normally living with you are covered by a free emergency assistance service - Aussie Assist.*
Aussie Assist 24 hour emergency assistance is there to help. It will help with medical support, arranging funds, contacting friends, even air transport and accommodation.
And Aussie Assist even covers you whether you are travelling in your own car or not.
Aussie Assist Benefits
24 hour medical advice.
Transport home in the event of serious illness or injury.
Assistance if your car is stolen.
Transport and accommodation in the event of a motor vehicle accident.
Help cancelling credit cards or arranging funds in the event you suffer a theft.
If you are travelling, Aussie Assist provides 24 hour, 7 day telephone access to a trained nurse or doctor.
The nurse or doctor can help you over the telephone or can refer you to a local doctor. They can also arrange hospital admission and get in touch with your own doctor, family or friends.
Aussie Assist can arrange transport (to your home if necessary) if you, or a family member travelling with you is likely to be in hospital for 7 days or more.
If the ill or injured person cannot be moved, Aussie Assist can also, in certain circumstances, transport another person to them.
Additionally, Aussie Assist can arrange transport if you are seriously ill or injured in your car and no one with you is able to drive it.
If your car is stolen, Aussie Assist can help with transport and emergency accommodation. If it is recovered within 30 days, Aussie Assist can also arrange any necessary transportation of your car.
In the event of a motor vehicle accident, Aussie Assist can provide help with alternative transport and emergency accommodation. They may even be able to help a local repairer locate spare parts. For motor vehicle breakdown service please refer to your RAC membership card.
If you suffer a theft, Aussie Assist can arrange for your clothing to be sent to you and can help arrange the transfer of funds from your bank account.
Aussie Assist can also help with the cancellation of credit cards and the reissuing of tickets if these are stolen or lost.
