Kids are in for a real treat these Easter school holidays. Besides being spoilt with chocolates galore, kids can get excited with a wealth of activities and events that are just as sweet. Here are our favourite things to do in Perth with kids these holidays.
1. Jurassic Kingdom

3. Swan Valley Station Easter Egg Hunt
Join the inaugural easter egg hunt at Swan Valley Station! With two sessions to be held on Easter Monday, let the kids put their skills to the test, as they search for a hidden token in the expansive covered playground. Once found, the token can be exchanged for an easter egg (limit of one "find" per child). Participation is free with no cost required.

4. The Rottnest Express Easter Egg Hunt
Get the whole family on board for The Rottnest Express Easter Egg Hunt, on Rottnest Island. Sightsee and spot eggs at popular locations around the much-loved island playground. Better yet, your quest may prove bountiful in more ways than one, with a chance to win an exclusive Rottnest Express prize.
This island egg hunt is available to all Quokka Club members until 14 April. Simply book a ferry ticket with your Quokka Club membership and pick up instructions before departure. RAC members save on ferry fares to Rottnest with Rottnest Express.

5. The Kids Big Carnival
Roll up to the Wanneroo Showgrounds for The Kids Big Carnival. Join in the revelry and thrills at this Easter carnival, running 29 March - 01 April. Rides are included in the entry ticket, with most of the fun suited to children 2-12 years. Besides rides, there will be live entertainment, roving entertainers, and even a special appearance by the Easter bunny.
There are four session times throughout the day, which means smaller crowds and shorter lines. Grab a bite from a food truck and take home a special showbag. The Kids Big Carnival is a fun-filled day out for the whole family. Book online to secure discounted ticket prices.

6. Marine Scientist for a day at AQWA
Let the kids become ocean experts at AQWA's Marine Scientist for a Day. The three-hour workshop mixes science fun with sea life experiences, led by an ocean guide. This scenic day out includes a behind-the-scenes tour of AQWA, a glass bottom boat adventure, biology class, marine life feedings and more. Kids will be fed, too, with lunch included on their seafaring day. Get in quick with availability left for the below dates in April.

7. City of Cockburn Easter Fair
Take the kids out and get ready for an eggcellent afternoon of fun at the City of Cockburn Easter Fair! Held at Aubin Grove Reserve, there's plenty of free family entertainment including bouncy castles, inflatable slides, face painting, craft, an animal farm, games and more!
A variety of local performers, food trucks and market stalls will also feature on the day. Parking will be limited, so active transport is encouraged for those attending.

8. Giants of Mandurah
Discover the whereabouts of Perth's doe-eyed wooden residents on a big adventure around Mandurah. Designed by the world's leading recycle artist, Danish visionary Thomas Dambo, The Giants of Mandurah is a free outdoor exhibition that will capture the imaginations of both young and old.
Five folklore-like wooden giants up to five metres tall are in hiding around Mandurah – by the water, in forests, shrublands, and hilltops – and you need to find them.
To discover the secret location of each, grab a map from the Mandurah Visitor Centre, go on a self-guided tour, and crack the codes to discover where these giants loom.

9. To the Moon, WA Museum Boola Bardip
Blast off on a journey of discovery with the kids and learn about our closest celestial neighbour, the Moon. To The Moon is a multiform exhibition, that delves into our fascination with The Moon across seven exhibition zones inviting engagement and providing new perspectives, including the Museum of the Moon, Ode to the Moon and a virtual reality experience at Lunar Lounge.

10. WA Shipwrecks Museum
Go on a nautical adventure at the WA Shipwrecks Museum. Kids can discover strange and mysterious creatures of the deep with storytelling session at A Monster Mission and Misconception, before taking opportunity to create-a-creature in the captain's cabin.
After the session, discover powerful art showcasing creative artistry from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls in Western Australia at the Art with the Stars exhibition.

11. April School Holiday Program, Rottnest Island
Head to Rottnest Island, and take part in memorable experiences for the whole family to enjoy with the April School Holiday Program. Discover Rottnest's Mysteries & Legends, face the 20 Questions Challenge or join in on Quokka Tales to take part in Okka the Quokka's story telling and colouring activities, amongst other activities available.
Take advantage of the March and April's sunny weather to explore the island on bike, and check out stunning beaches too. And don't forget, RAC members save on ferry tickets to Rottnest Island.

12. Hop + Minions: The Rise Of Gru at Telethon Community Cinema
Take the kids to see a double feature at the Telethon Community Cinema on Easter Sunday with Hop, and Minions: The Rise of Gru. Hosted at both Murdoch and Joondalup, reserve a bean bag chair, and order your food and drinks for a relaxing experience outdoors.
The first film starts at 6:30 PM with a combined run time of 195 minutes for both films.

13. The Golden Gumnut and Friends at Kings Park
Help The Golden Gumnut find its fruity friends!. The Golden Gumnut and Friends is a 90-minute activity in nature is suited to children 5-12 years.

14. PowerPlay School Holiday Power Pass
Get ready to zoom around Perth's first electric go-karts racecourse, PowerPlay.
