RAC Road Ready® is the RAC's road safety program aimed at high school students. The program aims to help reduce the number of fatalities and serious injuries on WA roads by educating young people about road safety and the importance of making positive choices.

Young people can use RAC Road Ready® as the go-to for all the information they need on learning to drive, buying their first car and being out on the road. The focus is safety, but there’s lots of fun stuff in there too!

RAC Road Ready® aims to build early relationships with young people and offers them RAC membership – for free!

What is Road Ready membership?

Young people can sign up for RAC Road Ready® membership for free. They will receive a welcome letter and membership card in the post along with information about discounts, competitions and prizes.

What does it offer?

The program offers road safety tips and advice for young people before they get their drivers licence. Such as:

  • Getting their licence
  • Learning to drive
  • Cyclists and pedestrians safety
  • Basic road rules

RAC Road Ready® membership offers young people access to a bunch of amazing discounts and benefits. They can make big savings on food, entertainment, shopping and much more.

Why do we need it?

In 2015, 17 – 19 year olds were 4% of the population in WA, yet they were 10% of the fatalities on our roads.

RAC Road Ready® makes young people aware of the importance of road safety. The program gives them the opportunity to take ownership and play a role in shaping how road safety can impact their lives and the lives of people they care about.
