This June, the Revival House at Como Theatre will partner with RAC for a special cinema takeover celebrating 100 years of Roadside Assistance in Western Australia.

The opening night on 3 June will feature a screening of The General (1926) a silent film classic presented in original 35mm film format.

A man stands in profile inside a dimly lit, cluttered film archive or projection room, working with a large film reel on a table. The room is densely packed from floor to ceiling with shelves holding countless film canisters, boxes, and media cases. A bright red neon light fixture on the ceiling illuminates the upper background, contrasting with the cool, dark tones of the foreground.

Across the theatre, the space will be transformed with vintage-inspired styling and nostalgic touches, including RAC-branded lolly bags, heritage vehicle displays, and archival nods to RAC’s roadside assistance history woven throughout the venue.

Doors will open at 6:30pm, with pizza available on arrival and the screening commencing at 7:20pm. Tickets can be purchased via The Revival House website.

An Art Deco-style building illuminated at night against a deep blue sky. The structure features a prominent, curved white concrete balcony resembling a ship's bow, accented by dark metal railings. A tall, vertical pillar made of red brick and cream trim anchors the center of the facade, while a row of three small, round porthole windows sits on the upper left wall.

Alongside the takeover, Revival House will also host its wider June program from 3-28 June, with RAC members receiving an exclusive 15% discount on all screenings throughout the month.

The program features some of cinema's most recognisable films screened in original 35mm format, from Anora to Ferris Bueller's Day Off and a seven-day run of 007 classics.

A close-up shot focuses on a person's hands operating a blue film inspection or editing machine. In the foreground, a large film reel spins rapidly, creating a motion blur. The operator's left hand adjusts a toggle switch next to a glowing red indicator light on the machine's control panel, while their right hand guides the film strip near a smaller, vertical reel mounted on top.

Tickets can be booked via the Revival House June program on Oztix, selecting “RAC Member” as the offer type and entering promo code RAC100 at checkout.
