Goomalling’s Biosphere Boodja festival is all about celebrating the wild beauty of the Wheatbelt region through art, music, and connection to Country.
This free-entry family festival is being held over the King’s Birthday long weekend and will feature giant puppets, live music, market stalls, hot air ballooning, and plenty of campfire vibes.
A special festival event will be a spectacular nighttime lightshow, with projections onto Goomalling’s giant grain storage domes.
Also on the program are a range of workshops, including clay modelling, damper-making over an open fire, and a guided tour of the night sky through telescopes and storytelling.
Goomalling, at the edge of the Avon Valley, is around 1.45hr from Perth, so you can plan a daytrip or stay and camp.
Camping options stretch from simple bush camping to a family camping area with a kid-friendly zone, as well as VIP glamping if you’d prefer to take in all the wild beauty with some additional luxuries.
Biosphere Boodja 2025 Festival is on Sunday 28 September to Monday 29 September. To register for your free festival ticket, visit biosphereboodja.com
