Western Australia's appetite for truffles shows no sign of slowing down, and this July, Fremantle is embracing the state's most luxurious winter ingredient in a big way.
Returning from 10 to 12 July 2026, the Fremantle Truffle Festival is expanding beyond its popular market origins to become a city-wide celebration of all things truffle. Restaurants, bars and venues across the Port City will serve exclusive menus and limited-edition dishes showcasing the prized ingredient.
Following the sell-out success of the Truffle Extravaganza in 2025, this year's festival invites visitors to experience Fremantle through a distinctly truffle-flavoured lens.
From truffle-inspired dumplings at Emily Taylor to truffle cocktails at Anglesea and a seasonal five-course menu at Little Creatures, the festival showcases the versatility of Western Australia's world-class black truffles.
The Truffle House marquee on Henderson Street will offer tastings, cooking demonstrations, artisan products and premium produce from Great Southern Truffles, giving visitors the chance to learn more about one of the state's most sought-after culinary treasures.
Meanwhile, the Fremantle Markets will once again become a playground for truffle lovers, with traders competing to create truffle-inspired festival dishes available exclusively during the three-day event.
Foodie lovers will find indulgent creations, seasonal specials and plenty of opportunities to sample their way through the markets, with Eggspot's truffle brioche burger a standout.
Adding a playful touch to the weekend, the festival's highly trained truffle dogs will take centre stage in a live agility showcase, demonstrating the remarkable canine detective skills and keen sense of smell that make these four-legged foragers such an important part of the truffle industry.
According to festival organisers, the expansion reflects growing demand for premium Western Australian produce while creating new opportunities for visitors to connect directly with the growers, chefs and local businesses helping shape the state's thriving truffle industry.
