For many of us, days are spent moving between desks, cars and screens. Spacechameleon Adventure Co offers something entirely different, the chance to step outside, challenge yourself and experience Western Australia from a new perspective.

Founded in 2014, the WA-owned adventure operator has built a reputation for taking people beyond their comfort zones, whether that’s abseiling beneath Perth’s city lights or exploring some of the most remote and spectacular landscapes in the Pilbara.

Just 45 minutes from Perth in the Perth Hills, their Twilight Abseiling Adventure has become a favourite among locals and visitors looking to swap an ordinary evening for something a little more memorable. The six-hour experience includes multiple abseils from heights of up to 60 metres, with participants tackling a series of descents as the sun sets over the city skyline.

A person wearing a helmet and climbing harness jumps through a small waterfall into a green natural pool surrounded by towering, layered red rock canyon walls.

The experience combines adrenaline with atmosphere, complete with gourmet pizzas delivered to the site and panoramic views that transform from golden hour to glittering city lights.

For those looking to venture further afield, the company is also one of the leading operators in Karijini National Park, offering adventures that venture well beyond the park’s standard visitor trails.

Spacechameleon is currently the only tour operator authorised to take visitors into these restricted sections of the park, providing rare access to some of Karijini’s most dramatic and inaccessible landscapes.

Along the way, guests pass iconic locations including Kermit’s Pool, Spider Walk, Handrail Pool and Olympic Pool before continuing deeper into the ancient gorge system. The experience is further enriched through stories that explore the cultural significance of the landscape.

A single-file line of canyoneers wearing yellow helmets and black wetsuits carefully navigates a steep, narrow, and wet rock chute deep inside a towering, layered red stone gorge.

Tours range from single-day adventures through to five and eight-day expeditions, including photography-focused itineraries designed to capture Karijini’s dramatic contrasts of red rock and turquoise waters.

Beyond the Pilbara, the company also offers multi-day South West adventures, including sections of the Cape to Cape Track, coastal cliff experiences around Wilyabrup and specialty wellness and adventure itineraries.

For more information on tours, head to the Spacechameleon Adventure Co website.
