One of Western Australia’s most anticipated food events is back on the menu, with Truffle Kerfuffle returning in 2026 to celebrate the start of the Southern Forests truffle season.
Held in the heart of Australian truffle country, the event shines a spotlight on the prized Périgord black truffle, with Manjimup producing almost 90 per cent of Australia’s harvest. While the traditional festival format is taking a different shape this year, foodie lovers can still expect a season dedicated to one of the world’s most sought-after ingredients.
The celebrations begin in Manjimup on 26 and 27 June with two long-table dinners at Fonty’s Pool. Set among the region’s towering trees and truffle farms, the five-course experiences will showcase freshly unearthed truffles just minutes from where they were harvested.
Rather than featuring a single guest chef, each evening brings together three of Western Australia’s leading culinary talents. Friday night’s Beneath the Oaks dinner will see Brendan Pratt, Evan Hayter and Supper Road collaborate on a shared menu, while Saturday’s Truffle Unearthed pairs Jessica Roe, James Higgs and Paul Iskov for a one-off dining experience.
For the first time, Truffle Kerfuffle will also extend beyond the Southern Forests, with a curated series of truffle dinners hosted by Perth restaurants throughout July. Each venue will put its own spin on the season, creating a rare opportunity to experience fresh Manjimup truffles at their peak.
While the 2026 event centres on a series of exclusive dining experiences, the season also offers the chance to discover the magic of truffle hunting, one of the Southern Forests' most popular winter experiences.
