West Coast Trike Tours offers a one-of-a-kind way to experience Perth and its surrounds, swapping four wheels and a windscreen for an open-road trike and front-row views. Led by Tom and Greg, each tour is completely tailored, from a gentle cruise through leafy suburbs to a more spirited coastal run (road rules firmly intact). You’ll be picked up and whisked away on an adventure that reveals the city from a whole new perspective. Even locals say it’s the best way to see Perth, largely because you’re no longer distracted by traffic or missing the scenery. Pick-up is available from the Fremantle Esplanade Hotel or can be arranged from your own home, making it easy to start your adventure exactly where you want.
Photo stops are built into the journey at iconic locations such as Kings Park and Botanic Garden, the Bell Tower, South Perth Foreshore, and City Beach, with time to actually pause and take it all in. Many tours also include an indulgent coffee or ice cream stop along the way.
Tours run all year round, with sunset and evening rides available during the warmer months. Coastal routes often wind through Fremantle, Scarborough, City Beach, and Hillarys Boat Harbour, while winter rides head inland to places like the Swan Valley or along Mundaring Weir Road. If you’re planning ahead, early morning rides are a favourite for cooler conditions.
Designed to be inclusive and welcoming, the tour caters to a wide range of ages and abilities, making it popular for couples, visitors, and locals - especially for romantic surprises, anniversaries, and special occasions. Each trike is best suited for two people, with a minimum passenger age of eight. Children aged 8 to 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
