Sometimes a drive north is reason enough on its own, but the arrival of Yanchep Beach Club makes the journey even sweeter. Sitting right on the shoreline, this spacious new venue is made for slow summer days, with Amalfi Coast–inspired interiors and generous alfresco areas that soak up uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean.
The venue is open daily from breakfast through to dinner, serving a Mediterranean-inspired menu by Head Chef Nick Cooper that highlights local, seasonal produce and shareable plates. There’s also an ocean-facing takeaway window pouring coffee and pastries from 7am (ideal for early risers), while classics like fish and chips or pizza are perfect for grabbing and enjoying on the grass as the sun sets.
For many locals, General Public is already a daily go-to, and the new Marmion location slots perfectly into coastal life. Open from 6am until late, it caters to everything from morning coffee and brunch to casual dinners and takeaway picnics.
The menu delivers the crowd favourites fans know and love, including wood-fired sourdough pizzas, while the breakfast “fold” has quietly earned its place as a morning staple. Dog owners will also want to mark their calendars for pop-up dog wash mornings on 21 and 28 February, an easy way to combine a beach walk, a coffee, and some practical pet care in one stop.
Anchored opposite Leighton Beach, Pearla & Co is the latest coastal restaurant from one of Perth’s celebrated chefs, Scott Bridger, the talent behind Bibb & Tucker. The menu is unapologetically seafood-driven, showcasing oysters shucked to order, dry-aged fish, and shellfish sourced from Western Australian waters.
Seasonal produce from local growers rounds out the experience, creating dishes that feel both thoughtful and unmistakably local. With Indian Ocean views and a design that reflects understated beachside elegance, this is a venue made for lunches that stretch well beyond their planned finish time.
Located inside the iconic Cottesloe Beach Hotel, Tigerfish brings bold, Southeast Asian-inspired flavours to one of Perth’s most beloved beach suburbs. The menu blends spice and freshness, with Western Australian seafood and produce woven throughout.
It’s an easy pick for post-swim bites after a dip at Cottesloe Beach, group dining, or settling in for an unhurried dinner overlooking the ocean.
