Historic WA site reopens as new hospitality and community destination
A bakery, farmers’ market, gelato window and pizza place are just the beginning at Baillie Hill, an exciting new hospitality and community precinct opening in the heart of East Victoria Park.
Following a $25 million redevelopment, Baillie Hill is opening its doors, bringing together heritage, food, green space and neighbourhood connection in one welcoming, walkable village designed to be enjoyed from morning coffee through to evening drinks.

Located less than 15 minutes from the Perth CBD, the precinct sits on the historic Elizabeth Baillie site, once home to WA's first specialist maternity hospital. At its heart is the heritage-listed Elizabeth Baillie House, carefully restored to preserve original architectural features while celebrating the site’s more than century-long significance.
What you’ll find at Baillie Hill
Visitors can expect a range of hospitality venues, family-friendly spaces and community experiences, including:
Milly’s Acre – an all-day dining venue surrounded by produce gardens, featuring an Australian menu built around local ingredients, seasonality and low-waste practices.
Beth’s Bakery – a café and bakery serving fresh bread baked on site daily, housed inside a heritage rotunda and opening in March.
Greensleeves Gelato – a casual gelato window offering soft serve and sweet treats, perfect for warm summer days.
Parco Pizza – a wood-fired pizza spot for easy takeaway, made with fresh dough from Beth’s Bakery and ideal for enjoying in the surrounding park.
The Berwick Bar & Kitchen – a relaxed, neighbourhood bar and dining venue open seven days a week, with park views, plenty on tap and a generous menu.
Milly’s Barn – a hands-on space where children can meet farmyard animals and connect with nature in the heart of the precinct.
Baillie Hill Distillery – a boutique distillery producing botanical gins, vodkas and seasonal spirits infused with botanicals grown within the precinct’s gardens.
Community Farmers’ Market – launching from March 2026, held every Sunday from 7am–12pm, featuring farm-to-table produce, artisan goods, live music and children’s activities.

Designed for families and community
Baillie Hill has been created with families firmly in mind. Milly’s Playground, part of the adjoining Elizabeth Baillie Park, offers a large play space complete with an amphitheatre, with further park upgrades planned for the future.
The precinct also includes purpose-built outdoor areas for markets, fairs and community events, as well as creative studios, artist spaces and function areas — ensuring there’s always something happening, whether you’re visiting with kids, meeting friends or dropping in on your own.
Baillie Hill opens to the public on Monday 19 January 2026 and is located at 15 Hill View Terrace, East Victoria Park.
