Each Sunday, the waterfront lawns beside the Bell Tower transform into a lively open-air market as the Barrack Square Markets return for the season. Picture matcha lattes in hand, almond croissants still warm from the oven, runners cooling down along the river foreshore, and yoga mats rolled out under the morning sun.
Presented by the City of Perth, the markets run from Sunday 1 March to Sunday 10 May, bringing together a carefully curated mix of gourmet food stalls, boutique retailers and wellness experiences that make the most of a relaxed Sunday morning by the Swan River.
With more than 20 food stalls and 10 retailers, visitors can wander between artisan baked goods, specialty coffee, fresh seasonal produce and handcrafted treats, alongside wellness products designed for the ultimate self-care Sunday. This season’s vendors include Wild Bakery, Who Gives a Crepe, Preston's Deli and Genergi Matcha, plus a variety of other food and wellness stalls.
But the markets offer more than just good food. Wellness sessions return for 2026, giving early risers the chance to start the day feeling energised. Visitors can join run clubs, yoga sessions and Qi Gong, or wind down with sound healing and breathwork. Special kids’ yoga sessions will also take place around Mother’s Day, adding a family-friendly twist to the morning lineup.
The Barrack Square Markets run every Sunday from 7am to 12pm, making them ideal for early risers and late-morning wanderers. Visitors can also take advantage of free parking at Terrace Road Car Park from 6am to 6pm each Sunday.
