Just 10 minutes from the town of Harvey and set on a working farm in Cookernup, Harvey Farm Barn offers a gentle escape into country life, where space, fresh air and simple pleasures take centre stage.

Visitors are invited to wander the farm at their own pace, meeting friendly animals along the way, from goats and alpacas to cows, pigs and the ever-popular Highland cattle.

For summer visitors, farm tours exploring the flower fields and photo props wrap up on 26 January. Pick-your-own sunflowers follow from 27 - 31 January, before the farm closes for the season. Harvey Farm Barn will reopen in April, refreshed and ready to bloom again.

The experience shifts subtly with the seasons, ensuring no two visits feel the same. Each season brings fresh floral displays and thoughtfully placed props throughout the farm, creating natural moments for photography without disrupting the relaxed feel.

Every detail is considered, guided by Sally’s love of photography, from where props are positioned to tripods set up for solo visitors. Every feature on the farm has been created by the family themselves. Timed sessions help keep the space calm and uncrowded, making it enjoyable for everyone, including those sensitive to busy environments.

More than just a farm visit, Harvey Farm Barn also hosts a rotating selection of workshops and wellbeing sessions throughout the season. From creative hands-on activities to sound healing experiences, the focus is on slowing down, reconnecting and carving out time for yourself, something many of us don’t do often enough.

Accessibility has been carefully considered, with inclusive facilities and clear pathways throughout the property. Open spaces allow guests to explore comfortably while remaining immersed in the landscape. After you wander, settle in on the grass with a picnic or enjoy a coffee or ice-cream from the on-site café beneath towering trees.

At its heart, Harvey Farm Barn reflects a deep appreciation for farming, the land and the challenges of a changing climate, paired with a determination to create something meaningful for visitors.

If you’re visiting with family, friends or simply craving a peaceful reset, Harvey Farm Barn delivers a wholesome slice of South West life, unhurried, thoughtful and grounded in the joy of being outdoors.
