There’s a delicious new reason to take a break on your next Great Southern road trip, Dejaxo Artisan Bakery & Gelato.
Conveniently located in Williams, just two hours’ drive from Perth along Albany Highway, the bakery opened its doors over the September long weekend and is already tempting travellers and locals with its baked goods.
Already a city favourite in Perth with stores in Mount Hawthorn, Duncraig and Swanbourne, Dejaxo has built a reputation for quality coffee, flaky pastries and artisan bread. Now, it’s bringing those favourites, plus a gelato bar, to one of WA’s busiest regional routes.
Expect country road trip staples and sweet treats on the menu, including hot pies, fresh rolls and gourmet toasties, quiches and sweets like vanilla slice and apple pie. The gelato bar has a flavour to tempt everyone like Lindt chocolate, crème brûlée, salted caramel and bubblegum, plus dairy-free options including strawberry sorbet and vegan Nutella.
Travellers can also stock up on fresh loaves to take with them from classic sourdough to ciabatta and French baguettes.
With plenty of parking for cars and caravans, plus dine-in seating, Dejaxo makes it easy to pause, recharge and enjoy a proper break before getting back on the road.
The Williams bakery is just getting started, so expect even more from this fresh new pit stop in the months ahead.
Dejaxo is open daily from 7am to 4pm and is located at 30 Albany Hwy, Williams.
