Founded in 2016, Perth Makers Market has played an important role in Perth’s growing local market scene, championing WA makers and proving that handmade, community-led markets are here to stay.
Perth Makers Market founder, Erin Madeley, set out to shake up the market landscape to give more opportunities for genuine handmade local businesses to connect with customers. She carefully curated a market that focused on showcasing only handmade, locally produced goods, giving WA creatives, food producers and artisans a meaningful platform to grow.
Ten years on, Perth Makers Market has supported thousands of small businesses and is now recognised as Perth’s largest exclusively handmade market.
To celebrate the milestone, Perth Makers Market will host a huge anniversary market on Sunday 1 March 2026 at Goolugatup Heathcote in Applecross, featuring more than 150 handmade stalls.
Visitors can expect high-quality locally made products, live music, food trucks, family-friendly activities and the relaxed, welcoming community atmosphere the market is known for.
