You don’t need a boarding pass to experience one of history’s most powerful stories. Titanic. The Human Story is now open at the Northbridge Centre, inviting visitors to step back into 1912 and explore the lives, voices and moments that defined the Titanic’s ill-fated maiden voyage.

This immersive exhibition blends rare historical artefacts with an audio-guided narrative that follows the passengers and crew from departure to disaster. As you move through the space, you’ll hear survivor testimonies brought to life with period music and sound effects, while exploring full-scale recreations of the ship’s interiors, from a first-class suite to a third-class cabin, revealing just how divided life on board really was.
Along the way, personal belongings, photographs, handwritten letters and keepsakes reveal stories of courage, loss and humanity, offering an intimate perspective that goes far beyond the myths. Created by Musealia in collaboration with renowned Titanic historian Claes-Göran Wetterholm, the exhibition separates fact from fiction with care, accuracy and emotional depth, while highlighting the ship’s cutting-edge technology and the belief that it was “practically unsinkable”.
Suitable for all ages, allow around 80 - 90 minutes to explore at your own pace, with children under four admitted free of charge. Tickets are available online now.
