Spring is a pretty good excuse to get outside, and the Tronox Spring Out Festival is giving families another reason to head to the Eaton Foreshore this November.
Returning for its 11th year, the free community festival will take place on Sunday 1 November, featuring children's entertainment, live performances, food trucks and interactive activities throughout the morning.
Adding to the festivities this year is a brand-new Fancy Dress Fashion Parade and Competition, with visitors of all ages encouraged to showcase their creativity by dressing as their favourite character, hero, profession or imaginative creation.
Visitors can head to the gazebo near the barbecue for 11.45am to collect a parade number ahead of the midday start. A range of prizes will be up for grabs, including Best-Dressed Child, Best Group Dress-Up, Judges' Choice and Most Funky Dance Moves.
There's plenty to explore in 2026, from hula hoops, bubbles and fairy floss at Spring Out Central to giant inflatables at Bounce Bonanza. Roving entertainers will move throughout the grounds, while the main stage will host dance performances and live entertainment.
Animal lovers can head to Farmyard Friends to meet Highland cows and other animals from Old Macdonald's Travelling Farm. For children keen to try something more active, ERC Active Adventures will feature a climbing wall, high ropes, the Lions train, emergency vehicles and activities from Eaton Recreation Centre.
There's also Artisan Alley, where more than 20 market stalls will showcase handcrafted goods, local flavours and family finds. When it's time for a break, food trucks will be serving up coffee, sweet treats and plenty of lunch options.
Beyond the costumes and entertainment, Spring Out is designed as an inclusive community event that celebrates creativity, connection and play. Hosted by the Shire of Dardanup in partnership with Tronox, the festival has become a popular fixture on the local calendar, with this year's program also aligning with National Children's Week.
With free entry and activities for all ages, it's the perfect opportunity to enjoy a spring morning by the water and discover everything the festival has to offer.
