Dust off the cowboy hat and point the car towards the Stirling Range. The AFGRI Mountain Country Music Muster is bringing four days of live country music, spectacular mountain scenery and camping to Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park from Thursday 29 October to Sunday 1 November.
The Muster gets underway on Thursday night with an outdoor movie, before the music continues across Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. Saturday night is the main event, with Australian country music veteran James Blundell taking to the stage alongside his son, Briar.
There's plenty to do between performances, too. Visitors can sample local food, wine and boutique beer, while the relaxed atmosphere leaves plenty of time to catch up with friends, meet fellow country music fans or explore the Great Southern.
Each morning, the Bluff Knoll Ski Club HQ will host the Muster's Poets Corner, with Australian poets Bev Shorland, Daniel Avery, Peter Rudolf, Tim Heffernan and Bill Gordon taking to the stage.
For those travelling from further afield, the event is designed as a destination weekend rather than a one-night concert. Tickets include a three-day camping pass at Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park, making it easy to turn the Muster into a Great Southern getaway.
The event is as much about showcasing regional Western Australia as it is about the music, encouraging visitors to explore the Great Southern and support local communities along the way.
