The 73rd Perth Festival is set to redefine the city’s cultural landscape with a daring program that spans 108 events, including 20 world premieres and nine Australian debuts over 24 days.
Artistic Director Anna Reece’s second season invites audiences into unexpected spaces — from disused office towers and cathedrals to riversides and the night sky — turning Perth into a living canvas of creativity. The festival’s opening event will be broadcast exclusively on social media, while the beloved Festival Club returns to East Perth Power Station.
International highlights include UK choreographer Aakash Odedra’s “Songs of the Bulbul”, a Sufi-inspired solo dance, and South Korean artist Jaha Koo’s culinary journey through history. Local talent shines with many commissioned works and a strong presence of Western Australian artists.
As Perth Festival 2026 prepares to launch, it continues its legacy as Australia’s longest-running arts festival, blending truth-telling, mischief-making, and radical storytelling into a celebration of art and place.
The official program runs from 6 February to 1 March, with the film season beginning at the Sommerville Auditorium on 24 November. To view the program, visit perthfestival.com.au
