To showcase the incredible array of fresh produce in WA’s South West and Southern Forests regions, Bridgetown locals Trudy and Jenny created Secret Picnic Adventures.

It works like this: they choose a selection of tasty goodies for you to take on a picnic, you then need to follow a set of clues to find them. Once they’re all collected, you take your haul to a specially selected secret picnic location nearby.

Secret picnics are currently offered in Bridgetown, Busselton, Nannup and Pemberton, with Bunbury and Dunsborough picnics coming soon.

Each secret picnic starts at the visitor centre of your chosen town, where you’ll be provided with an insulated picnic basket and the clue to find your first pickup point and then subsequent clues to find the foods you’ll take on your picnic.

Along the way, you’ll visit a selection of food outlets and local producers to collect your tasty treats.

Once you’ve collected them all, you’ll then be directed to your secret picnic location to enjoy your picnic at your leisure.

As well as a car to get around to some of the locations, you’ll also need a smartphone with a mapping app to follow the clues.

It’s an exciting and adventurous way to discover local fresh produce and meet some of the producers themselves.

To book your picnic or to gift one to someone you know, visit Secret Picnic Adventures.
