You don’t have to travel hours down the coast to find a beachside getaway. Just north of Mindarie Marina, a new glamping resort is offering a coastal escape in Perth’s northern suburbs.
Dunes Beach Resort, located on Quinns Road near Quinns Rocks, combines 38 ensuite glamping tents with an ocean-view restaurant, lounge bar and event spaces, all within easy reach of the coast.
Designed around its coastal setting, the resort takes inspiration from the surrounding dunes, with soft tones, organic textures and comfortable interiors that bring the outdoors in. Each tent has its own ensuite, offering a little more comfort than your typical camping setup.
For those who prefer to make their getaway about good food as much as the great outdoors, the resort’s on-site dining destination, Sandara, brings several options together in one coastal setting.
Combining an all-day café, kiosk, restaurant and bar, Sandara pairs ocean views with shaded alfresco seating, an elevated dining space and a modern lounge bar. Drop in for a morning coffee, a long lunch or a sunset drink, even if you're not staying overnight.
Breakfast is served daily from 7am, with Common Bakery sourdough, eggs cooked your way, waffles and barbecue brisket on the menu. From 11am, the focus shifts to lunch, showcasing fresh WA seafood including oysters, roast scallops and prawns.
The resort also features function rooms and beachfront lawns for weddings, wellness days and corporate events, adding another option for those looking to host a gathering by the coast.
Around a 30-minute drive from Perth’s CBD, Dunes Beach Resort offers an easy alternative to a longer coastal road trip or an island getaway. Beyond the resort, visitors can explore nearby beaches, wander along coastal walking trails or head to Mindarie Marina for a meal by the water.
