RAC notes the decision by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) to oppose our proposed insurance partnership with Insurance Australia Group (IAG).
While we are naturally disappointed with this outcome, we acknowledge the role of regulators and the process undertaken.
We still believe the proposed partnership has merit and would be beneficial for our teams and members.
IAG have announced their intentions to submit the proposed partnership for assessment under the ACCC’s new mandatory control regime, which commences 1 January 2026.
RAC remains committed to pursuing the partnership and supports this next step.
