RAC’s proposed insurance partnership with IAG has progressed to the next stage of the regulatory process, with IAG lodging an application for a public benefits assessment with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
The public benefits assessment allows the ACCC to consider the broader public benefits of the proposed partnership following its competition review.
As part of this process, IAG has offered a number of commitments that address the competition issues previously raised by the ACCC and secure further benefits for Western Australians.
RAC supports this next step and remains confident the proposed partnership will deliver significant benefits for our members and the Western Australian community.
A summary of the public benefits will be made available on the ACCC website.
