Monday 22 June 2026 - Flight Perth to Christmas Island
On arrival into Christmas Island, you will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation. Once you have settled in there will be an Island Briefing at the lodge. This evening you will enjoy a beach BBQ at Flying Fish Cove. BBQ included, BYO alcohol (you will stop at a mini-market to purchase drinks and other snacks you might like for the week). Then return to the hotel.

Tuesday 23 June 2026 - Christmas Island Orientation Tour
This morning you will be taken on a Christmas Island Orientation Tour which includes the history and cultural heritage of the island. You will travel via Golf Course Road to Ma Chor Nui Nui Temple, The Grotto, Poon Saan, Drumsite & Territory Day Park. Following lunch in a local café you will depart the township travelling to Pink House Research Station. Learn about the efforts to conserve native reptiles, hosted by National Park staff. You will then head out to the Orphaned Bird Feeding Session which provides you with the best chance to see a few of our endemic bird species, and learn about the techniques used to rehabilitate them, hosted by National Park staff. Return to the hotel for some free time to relax and refresh before dinner at a local restaurant.

Wednesday 24 June 2026 - Hughs Dale Waterfall
Following breakfast this morning, your tour takes you to Hughs Dale Waterfall. One of the only places on the island with flowing water all year round, these rain-forested wetlands are home to mighty Tahitian chestnut trees, blue crabs and an array of rare and endemic species. The Hughs Dale track is a raised boardwalk that leads to a permanent waterfall in the rainforest (good mobility and some endurance required), stopping for morning tea along the way. You will also enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to the hotel with the afternoon free. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.

Thursday 25 June 2026 - Blowholes, Boulder Track & South Point Temple
First stop today will be the Blowholes to view the waves pounding against the rocky Christmas Island cliffs. This is followed by a shaded walk along Boulder Track taking you past pretty forest with the floor often covered with numerous red crabs, before stopping at the Grandfather Banyan tree for a photo op. You will then enjoy a picnic lunch at South Point Temple, where you will also learn about the history of this remote Chinese Settlement. After lunch you will return to your hotel with a stop at the old railway station on route. The afternoon is free before heading out for dinner at a local restaurant.

Friday 26 June 2026 - Lily Beach, Ethel Beach & boat trip
Following breakfast at your hotel this morning, you will head off to Lily and Ethel beaches. Take a swim in the shallows of Lily Beach before walking along the boardwalk on a guided tour to see the rugged coastline and sea birds on the way to Ethel Beach. The round trip is a leisurely 1.5km walk before returning to Lily Beach for a picnic lunch at the gazebos. After lunch you will continue on to Flying Fish Cove Jetty where you will join your 2 hour boat trip. With coral reefs surrounding the Island, and an abundance of fish and coral to see just a few metres from the shore, this trip will be truly memorable. Return to your hotel to freshen up before heading out to dinner at a local restaurant.

Saturday 27 June 2026 - Dolly Beach & Greta Beach
After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to Dolly and Greta Beaches. Dolly is one of the prettiest and most secluded beaches on the island. Walk through the rainforest along a boardwalk for approx. 2kms, you will come to a sandy beach surrounded by overhanging coconut palms and shallow rock pools. Marine turtles nest at both Dolly & Greta beaches so you are bound to come across some on your visit. You will return to the township for a picnic lunch before heading back to our hotel. This evening you will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Sunday 28 June 2026 - Free morning & Flying Fish Cove
Today will be a more relaxed pace starting with a leisurely breakfast at your hotel followed by a free morning to relax and enjoy the facilities of your accommodation or spend time wandering through the township. You will then meet up and head to a local café for lunch. This afternoon you will visit Flying Fish Cove again which is a great spot for snorkelling and shore diving, or you could spend some time just enjoying your last full day on the island. Being your last night here you will enjoy a farewell dinner this evening.

Monday 29 June 2026 - Visit Tai Jin House museum & flight to Perth
The morning will be spent visiting Tai Jin House museum, followed by time for some last minute shopping or souvenir hunting. Lunch will be held at a local café before heading to the airport in time to check-in for your flight back to Perth.
