RAC Executive General Manager of Brand and Tourism, Tony Pickworth, said RAC revamped the holiday park after receiving feedback from members and guests about wanting newer and more family-friendly facilities.
“The park has always been a wonderful spot for families, but now it’s even better,” Mr Pickworth said.
“For those who opt to stay in cabins, we have 11 brand new self-contained villas, a new swimming pool, a kids activity centre and a recreation room complete with a pool table, ping pong table and big-screen projector for movies.
“For the campers, we have added a new state-of-the-art camp kitchen, extra barbecue areas and a new amenities block.
“The changes come after receiving feedback from our members and guests about wanting accommodation with more modern conveniences. We surveyed our guests and it was clear they wanted to see some changes to the park.
“RAC’s plan is to provide a range of consistent, reliable quality accommodation options for our members, to encourage Western Australians to holiday in their own backyard. Upgrading Cervantes Holiday Park in line with what our members want is a big part of that.”
RAC Cervantes Holiday Park is just two hours north of Perth, and is a short drive away from The Pinnacles limestone formations and Lake Thetis.
Some of the country’s best crayfish are caught in the waters off Cervantes beach. Other local attractions include Jurien Bay boat harbour, Hangover Bay and Mt Leseur.
