RAC has today announced the 2016 finalists in the Australia’s Best Cars program.

RAC Manager Vehicles and Fuels, and Australia’s Best Cars judge, Alex Forrest said the finalists were determined following a year of road testing by RAC and motoring clubs across Australia.

“Australia’s Best Cars judges test hundreds of new cars annually to ensure consumers can make the right decision when it comes to buying a new car,” he said.

“Each finalist must score consistently well across a stringent set of criteria including value for money, design and function and on the road performance and handling.

“Australia’s Best Cars seeks to influence the new car market by challenging manufacturers to continually improve in the areas of safety, fuel efficiency and affordability.”

Winners of Australia’s Best Cars will be announced in February.
