When you purchase Roadside Assistance, you buy 12 months of coverage.
You can cancel your Roadside Assistance during the year but please note that we don’t offer refunds. If you’re on direct debit, you’ll need to continue paying until the 12-month period is complete.*
To find out when your Roadside Assistance expires, log in to or register for myRAC and check your account. If you decide to cancel, call us on 13 17 03.
Keep in mind that cancelling your Roadside Assistance means you'll no longer get member benefits and discounts, such as insurance discounts available to those who’ve held Roadside Assistance for at least five years.

If you’re buying a new car to replace your existing one, there’s no need to cancel your Roadside Assistance. You can easily transfer it to your new car by calling us on 13 17 03. Note that up to one Nominated Vehicle change is allowed per year.
Yes, you can transfer your Roadside Assistance cover to the local motoring club. Simply get in touch with the local club when you arrive. You can refer to this list of Australian motoring clubs.
