What’s the process for shared fence claims?
For shared fences, once you’ve lodged a claim and we’ve approved it, generally we give you a cash settlement to cover your share of the fence. Then you organise the repairs.
In summary, the process is that you:
- Make a claim.
- Talk to your neighbour. They’re responsible for their share of the fence repair costs
- Get a quote from a fence repairer.
- Pay for your share of the fence repair with your cash settlement.
