Health Insurance
I am eligible for the cash back offer. When will I receive the money?
After paying your first 3 months’ premium and maintaining your policy for 3 months, you will receive an email asking you to nominate a bank account for the payment to be made. This payment may occur up to 6 weeks later.  
Why is RAC offering Health Insurance?

Who is HCF?

Operating since 1932, HCF is Australia’s largest not-for-profit health insurer, covering 1.5 million members. HCF and RAC share similar values with members at the heart of our service.

What offer am I entitled to with HCF?

As a member of RAC, thanks to our partnership with HCF, you will have access to HCF’s award winning private health insurance range.^ Benefits include no excesses for kids with Hospital products and you are entitled to up to $400 cash back when you join or switch to HCF hospital and extras cover.*    

^HCF health insurance has won a range of awards, such as Outstanding Value Health Insurance by Canstar 4 years in a row.

*$400 cash back for Family, Couple or Single parent memberships. $200 cash back for Single memberships. The cash back is paid into your nominated bank account after you've paid 3 months’ premium and the 30 day cooling period has ended. To be eligible for the offer, you must not have been an HCF member within 2 months prior to joining or switching to HCF.

How do I find out more about the plan or get a quote?

You can view the product range, get a quote or find out more information any time at corporate.hcf.com.au/rac. Alternatively you can call the dedicated RAC sales team on 1800 649 422 and select option 2, 7 days a week, or visit your local HCF kiosk at Lakeside Shopping Centre, Joondalup, Garden City Shopping Centre or Carousel Shopping Centre.

How do I switch from an existing fund?

HCF can assist you seamlessly transfer from your existing provider. Please contact HCF on 1800 649 422 and select option 2, to assist this process.

What if I'm not an RAC member?

If you’re over 18 and not already an RAC member when you take out HCF Health Insurance with RAC, you will be contacted by RAC to become a Red Card member. This means you'll be able to make the most of a great range of benefits. You can find out more by visiting rac.com.au/memberbenefits

What if I don’t want my personal information shared between RAC & HCF?

Rest assured that no claims information will be disclosed by HCF to RAC. The only information that will be shared are your personal details that RAC also holds on file to maintain your membership - RAC's Privacy Policy.

By agreeing to the terms and conditions of becoming a HCF member, you are also agreeing to that information being disclosed between both parties.

How do I make changes to my HCF policy?
  • Call the HCF service number on:1800 649 422 and select option 1 for service enquiries.
  • Visit your local HCF kiosk at:Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre, Garden City Shopping Centre or Carousel Shopping Centre.
How do I make a claim against my HCF policy?

If you have a hospital & medical claim - log into the HCF member portal or call 1800 649 422 and select option 1 for service enquiries,  7 days a week to find out what you're entitled to under your current policy.

Extras claims can be processed by;

  • on the spot with providers who utilise the HICAPS system 
  • submit a photo of your claim quickly and easily via the HCF app
  • visit a branch
  • download a claim form and send via post
