Autumn Abundance
Delve into the food, wine and culture of the Southern Forests region of Western Australia on this immersive 3-day tour to explore the abundance of autumn on offer. The Southern Forests is abuzz with autumn abundance! Embark on an unforgettable journey of taste and creativity with our Autumn tour that takes you through our stunning forests, celebrating the season of harvest with a unique blend of food, farms and art. Itinerary
Day 1 - 27 May 2005
Departing from Perth mid-morning, you’ll be whisked away to your first food experience in no time at all, for a farm-to-table café lunch and time to browse the bush-tucker garden. Heading further south, you’ll pop into a small family operated chestnut farm to experience a range of award-winning products. From there, you’ll head to your accommodation then prepare for a dinner in a lakeside restaurant, where the chef creates stunning meals featuring local produce.
Day 2 - 28 May 2025
After breakfast and time to explore the resort, you’ll be guided through an outdoor sculpture walk where impressive pieces tower over you and others quietly peep out from the scrub. Enjoy a catered picnic-lunch in a scenic spot before visiting WA’s only Sencha green tea farm and processing facility. Sample the brews and enjoy the salty air, before travelling further north to be wowed by a bustling berry farm, producing juicy strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and more. After a short drive you’ll visit a quaint winery to sample their organic wines and cider, before visiting the tranquil and scenic Big Brook Dam. To end the day, you’ll enjoy a tasty dinner at a charming country pub before turning in to bed.
Day 3 - 29 May 2025
Your final day will begin with breakfast enjoyed overlooking the lake, then off to visit a passionate apiarist to sample his monofloral honey offerings. Your senses will be tantalised with stop at a decadent chocolate factory, before a scrumptious lunch at the cidery, before embarking on the trip back to Perth.
Note: This tour requires a moderate level of physical ability. Farm visits include walking in paddocks or on somewhat uneven terrain. For this reason, those with reduced or limited physical ability e.g. walking frames are discouraged from attending.

Itinerary
Day 1 - 19 August 2005

From there, you’ll head to your accommodation then prepare for a dinner in a lakeside restaurant, where the chef creates stunning meals featuring local produce.
Day 2 - 20 August 2025
After breakfast and time to explore the resort, you’ll head to one of the region’s famous trufferies where you’ll be swept up in the wonder of the black perigord truffle on your own private truffle hunt. Watch the dogs sniff for the truffle and see the hunters unearth the black gold. Later, after a catered picnic-lunch, you’ll visit a bustling horticulture and pastured egg farm focusing on regenerative agriculture, to hear directly from the farmers themselves. Experience the south-west’s favourite freshwater crustacean with a tour of a marron distributer, then a stroll around the Southern Forest’s favourite scenic spot, Big Brook Dam. To end the day, you’ll enjoy a tasty dinner at a charming country pub before turning in to bed.
Day 3 - 21 August 2025

Connect with the bounties of springtime as you immerse yourself i the Southern Forests and Vallets to explore local product bursting with flavour and the region bursting with vibrancy. From chestnuts to chocolate, marron to sparkling wine, you will tantalise your senses whilst you explore wholesome farms and meets genuine, passionate farmers.

Sample the brews and enjoy the salty air, before travelling further north to be wowed by the great heights of the region’s tallest fire lookout tree. After a short drive you’ll visit an impressive vineyard to sample the wines, where you’ll meet members from the fourth-generation farming family and hear about their endeavours over the years. To end the day, you’ll enjoy a tasty dinner at a charming country pub before turning in to bed.
