RAC launches the new Smart Bike Hub
Visiting the Perth CBD just got a whole lot better, thanks to the launch of the new Smart Bike Hub at RAC Arena.
By supporting WA Bike Month, we’re showcasing how bike riding and other sustainable transport options can connect communities, reduce emissions, and enhance mental, physical, and social wellbeing.
To celebrate WA Bike Month and encourage more West Aussies to choose cleaner, healthier transport options, RAC is giving you the chance to win an e-bike. Simply tell us in 25 words or less how your first e-bike ride would change the way you travel or explore, and you’ll go into the draw!
October is WA Bike Month, a time to celebrate cycling across the State. This year, more than $80,000 in grants have been awarded to support 72 events designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to give bike riding a go.
RAC is proud to have contributed $25,000 to the program, helping to bring communities together through cycling. By supporting WA Bike Month, we aim to highlight the benefits of alternative transport—reducing emissions, improving mental, physical and social wellbeing, and inspiring more people to get on their bikes.
To see the full list of successful grant recipients, visit the WA Bike Month at Transport WA. WA Bike Month is an initiative of the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure.
This October, RAC people will be encouraged to swap their car keys for helmets. To mark the occasion, RAC will fund bespoke tricycles for two Perth children. The bikes will be created through Technology for Ageing & Disability WA’s (TADWA) Freedom Wheels program, ensuring the children have the right support to ride safely, build their skills and enjoy the freedom of cycling.
Freedom Wheels designs and builds customised bikes and trikes tailored to the unique needs of children and adults living with disability, helping them experience confidence, independence and joy through riding.
RAC offers free programs, resources, and events across WA to help riders stay safe, confident, and skilled on their bikes, in the community.
