Member tree planting day
3,000 native seedlings planted as part of RAC's 2025 Member Tree Planting Day.
Volunteering is a fantastic way to give back to local communities. Get involved in our volunteer activities with a range of community organisations.
We have several community partnerships and outreach programs. These give you the chance to donate your time, energy and skills to a good cause. You can help with tree planting, protecting wildlife, and other community activities. It’s a chance to listen and learn, and engage with local organisations. And perhaps also leave a lasting impact on the community.

In partnership with Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group, RAC members are invited to take part in a hands-on tree planting experience at Thornlie River Park. Each session includes a welcome, safety briefing and planting demonstration, approximately 1.5 hours of tree planting, followed by a light lunch and family-friendly activations. Suitable for ages 6+.
Dates: Saturday 27 June & Saturday 1 August
Location: Jacqueline Drive, Thornlie River Park, Thornlie
Session times: 9:30am, 10:15am and 11:00am
