- Log in to myRAC.
- Select Edit your contact details.
- In the section on Log-in details, select Edit.

Yes, you can. To update your log-in address:
- Log in to myRAC.
- Select Profile.
- Select Contact details.
- Go to the section for Log-in details and select Edit.
- Follow the instructions provided.
This is your email for logging in only. You may also wish to change your contact email.
You can make several changes online to your home, motor and other insurance policies held in your name plus having the option to change your banking details, update your collection date and renew your home or motor policy with a few simple clicks.
Unfortunately, this is not possible. Due to privacy restrictions an online account can only be in a single individual's name. Any joint policies or accounts will be visible from both parties myRAC accounts.
If you’ve forgotten your password, you’ll need to reset it by following these steps:
- Go to the login page and select Having trouble logging in?
- Select Forgot password.
- Enter your login email address and select Send code to receive a verification code. We can only send a code to the email address you used to register for myRAC.
- Enter the verification code and select Verify.
- Create your new password and select Reset password.
During the account set up (registration) process, we will send a verification email to the email address you supply which should be opened and the "Verify now" button clicked, as confirmation that you own the email address.
You need a valid email address to create a myRAC account.
To increase security, there is a minimum criteria for online passwords. Your password must include:
- a minimum of 8 alpha numeric characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9)
- at least 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase character
- at least 1 numeric character
- at least 1 special character
- not contain 3 or more characters repeated one after another
- not contain Unicode characters
Your email can’t already have been registered by another person. It must be in a valid email address format, e.g. name@domain.com.
Not a problem. To get the verification email resent:
- Log in to myRAC.
- Select Profile.
- Select Contact details.
- In the section for Log-in details, select Edit to resend the verification email.
- Get a new log-in email.
- Go to the login page and select Register.
- Confirm your details. Please use the name you used when you joined RAC, whether it was your full name or nickname. Don’t include middle names or initials. We’ll use this information to find you in our system.
- Enter the verification code that we sent to your phone and select Verify.
- Enter a valid email address (e.g. name@domain.com). You'll use this to log in to myRAC in the future. You can't use an email address already registered by another person.
- Enter the verification code that we sent to your email and select Verify.
- Create a password and select Create your account.
Creating an online account is an extension of the services offered via our website; please refer to the 'Privacy' and 'Security' terms and conditions available on the website. To ensure your privacy, we have a registration process where we collect some information about you to compare to our records. Once a match is made with your existing information held by the RAC, you can set up your account by providing an email address and password. We will send a verification email to the email address you supply which should be opened and the "Verify now" button clicked as confirmation that you own the email address.
