Day 1: Arrive in Bergen
On arrival in Bergen, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay. Set out to discover the distinctly nautical sights of Norway's second largest city, including the colorful buildings at the Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage site and now home to many of the city's best shops, restaurants and bars. Or take the Fløibanen funicular up to the top of Fløyen for scenic walks and spectacular views of the city.

Day 2: Bergen to Flam
After breakfast this morning, begin your journey through the fjords with a quick train trip to the scenic district of Voss, followed by a picturesque bus ride passing the Stalheimsfossen and Sivlefossen waterfalls and down the dramatic winding bends of the Stalheimskleiva. Once you arrive at Gudvangen, on the banks of the Nærøyfjord, board the ferry for a breathtaking cruise across the UNESCO World Heritage-listed fjord, spectacularly beautiful with its high peaks framing the narrow, calm thread of water. On arrival in Flam, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay and begin exploring this idyllic village at your leisure. Perhaps try some traditional Norwegian fare washed down with a regional beer at one of the local restaurants.

Day 3: Flam to Oslo
After breakfast this morning, catch the world-famous Flam Railway from Flam and ascend the Aurlandsfjord to the high mountain plateau of Myrdal. This incredible journey, which has been voted the most scenic rail journey in the world, will have you passing rugged mountains, deep valleys and thundering waterfalls, providing simply awe-inspiring views. The train climbs nearly 3,000 feet in the hour it takes to ascend, and stops at the amazing Kjosfoss Waterfall along the way. At Myrdal, you will transfer to the main train line to Oslo, and on arrival check in at your hotel for an overnight stay. Spend the rest of the day exploring the cosmopolitan Norwegian capital. Head up to the Akershus Festning, a medieval castle which offers breathtaking views over the Oslofjord. Alternatively, visit one of Oslo's wide choice of museums. Take a boat out to the Bygdøy Peninsula for the highest concentration of these or stay in the center of town and see Edvard Munch's The Scream at the National Gallery.
