Day 1: Zurich
Welcome to Switzerland! Take the train from the airport to St. Moritz for a 2-night stay in the heart of the mountains.

Day 2: The Bernina Express Day Trip
Head south to Italy today and enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery seen from a train anywhere in the world. Cross mountain passes and admire the spectacular peaks of Piz Bernina and Piz Palu. Have your camera ready for the magical Brusio spiral viaduct before arriving at Tirano, northern Italy. Enjoy lunch before hopping back on the train and heading back to St. Moritz, the varying light gives the scenery a different life, and once back in Chur enjoy taking stock of the amazing photos you have captured.

Day 3: The Glacier Express
Another day and another amazing train journey today, this time on the legendary panoramic carriages of the Glacier Express. the train follows the Rhine Gorge and cross the Oberalp Pass, passing through 91 tunnels and over 291 bridges. the views are breath-taking at times and your final destination Zermatt has a great selection of restaurants to enjoy dinner in the evening.

Day 4: The Gornergrat Day Trip
After breakfast enjoy a ride on the Gornergrat cog railway. the train climbs over bridges and through a fragrant forest of fir trees from where you will enjoy spectacular views of the iconic Matterhorn mountain. Chamois or Marmot can be found running freely at the top and if you are feeling energetic there are some gentle walking trails which reward hikers with even more breath-taking views of the surrounding peaks. Head back down the mountain and take a stroll through the pretty village of Zermatt.

Day 5: Zermatt to Basel
When you are ready make your way the station for your train to Basel via Visp.
