Each year, we support metropolitan and regional community groups who are passionate about leading positive change to enhance the places they live, work and connect in.
This year we looked for expressions of interest from local community groups and local governments who identified an area in their neighbourhood that needs improving. We were looking for project ideas that can support our vision, so together we can achieve a better WA.

Safer roads by encouraging people to slow down. Thus, reducing the chance of injuries and crashes.
Sustainable
Cleaner and healthier air by encouraging people to walk, cycle, or use public transport as alternative options to driving their car.
Connected
Inviting streets and better planned communities that improve the way local residents move around their community.
Upcoming projects
Donnybrook Town Team - Reserve Street Traffic Calming
Reserve Street is a high pedestrian traffic zone between the Apple Fun Park and local skate park. Heavy haulage vehicles frequent the area, to access to nearby commercial zone. Asphalt artwork will encourage slower speeds and will be informed by community.
Flower District Town Team - Northwood Street Solar Smart Hub
Providing space for up to 10 bike parking and charging bays, the ‘flower-power’ solar panels will be a feature of the new Solar Smart Hub in West Leederville. To promote active transport on this Safe Active Street, the flower parasol will also feature seating, landscaping and lighting.
City of Canning - Hossack Park Bike Track
A much needed facelift to the 20 year old bike skills track, the project will include new colourful asphalt, bike racks, artwork, signs and a connection to the new cycle path.
Shire of Wagin - Arthur Road Safer Speed Signage
Providing a safer street for the Wagin community with traffic calming methods, and colourful activities, to encourage a vibrant and connected regional town.
